HYDERABAD, April 18
IF you need an ethical hacker to crack a complex cyber puzzle, you don't have to go far. Promoted by a group of ethical hackers, e2Labs is planning to locate an Incidence Response Centre in Hyderabad to combat cyber crimes.
The co-founder of e2Labs, Mr Zaki Qureshey along withteenagergeekMr Ankit Fadia, said the centre would initially have about a dozen people, to be scaled up to 40 later. The first such centre in Asia, it would go beyond security, firewalls and so on.
Mr Qureshey told Business Line that the centre would help enterprises and individuals combat cyber crimes. Several recent events and particularly September,11 terrorist attack makes one feel that terrorists might bring down the Internet one day.
Mr Qureshey had met Mr Fadia in the virtual world and spurred by the common goal of combating cyber crime, decided on this centre. While refusing to divulge the total investment, Mr Qureshey said this will be first such centre which aims to protect the technology assets.
Mr Fadia, who has already received several accolades, is listed in the Limca Book of Records. He is a consultant with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Central Bureau of Investigation and several other defence establishments. His expertise is sought after.
